Old Photographer

Do you recognise this man? Do you know what he is holding? Can you think what it might be used for? We are getting so forgetful around here that we need some help. Please write to us and make suggestions. Lord knows we need suggestions around here. We’ll print the best of them.

PAPA: This a portrait that I took of my Grandfather. He was a photographer and I wanted to show all his wonderful old cameras and his life in an editorial styled portrait. He just turned 95 years old and still remembers how all his old camera's work. I really love this picture and hope you like it as well. Hillside, IL. It's a teleportation device. Being back in the old days, they had to crank up that schmick looking handle to get it to work. And those 2 round eye things? They're to cater for reallllly tall people.

We tried teleporting. The people on the other end refused to pick up the receiver....

I bet you guys forgot the waving-magic-wand component... see that thing with the antenna in the far right of the frame? You need to be poking someone with it in the eye while you crank ;)

Charlene, we never use the word crank here at Camera Electronic. It is a perfectly good word, of course, but whenever we call it out all the sales staff put their heads up and respond. It is like watching meerkats at the Zoo....

Hahahaha, now THAT would be an excellent picture. Perhaps more frequent usage of this word is in order :D
